1st year of the Logical Olympiad
The Logical Olympiad was established in 2008 as a competition in logical tasks, picking up the threads of similar competitions in Frydek-Mistek, organized by Dalibor Hrabec and the local group of Mensa Czech Republic. In 2008, the competition was only offered to fifth-grade pupils from Prague and the Central Bohemian Region. There were about 4000 participants altogether, and the finals were held on the premises of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.

Both competitions were put together in 2009, covering all 14 regions of the Czech Republic, and being offered to children from primary and secondary schools (see Logical Olympiad 2009).
